Welcome to the Great Packington One Place Study Website.

I started this One Place Study in December 2023, intrigued by a parish less than 10 miles away from where I live, but that I had never even heard of before starting researching my family history. One of my maternal ancestral lines stretches back to Great Packington from as early as the 1530s. There was limited and scattered information available about the parish, so I decided to conduct my own study to pull together a wide range of sources and follow the story of the area.

As an MSc Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies student at the University of Strathclyde, I have utilised genealogical research strategies alongside exploring topography, house history and local history in this study.
